Summary: If only it was made well 2008-11-16
Comment: This toy is so much fun... when it works. The boy that I work with got his for Christmas last year and it was so cool... for a week. Then the wheel fell off and the parts were so tiny that we couldn't them. It was a very expensive piece of trash. I then bought my daughter one thinking that it was just a fluke that his was junk. However, when my daughter's spy car arrived the video camera was faulty and we got no picture through the glasses. I think that if they put as much thought into the production as they did into the concept it would be amazing, however, I think they need to go "back to the drawing board" and get it right.

Summary: Grandson loves the spy car 2008-09-15
Comment: I wasn't going to buy this for my grandson but leave it to Amazon to make it an affordable buy and he loves it, even my son-in-law has fun with it. I am not sure how educational it is but it has taken a few blows from my smaller grand son 2 and is still running all in all a fun toy

Summary: Be careful what you do 2008-08-15
Comment: We bought this gift last Christmas for our 9 year old grandaughter. She has just visited us and brought the 'spy car' with her. It's still going strong and is so much fun. She had a sleepover a few months ago and the car was the hit of the party. Just be sure to close doors if you don't want little ones to see what you're doing.
It's educational if you consider learning how to look through one eye as educational!!!

Summary: fantastic toy 2008-06-29
Comment: I have now bought 3 of these, 2 for grandchildren and 1 for my daughter of second marriage. The children are absolutely thrilled with them, and mums and dads keep wanting to play. It's VR with reality, way better than a simple remote controlled car or any on-screen simulation. As an engineer I was impressed with the quality - solid and rugged though heavy but that's the price you pay for solid engineering. It uses rather a lot of batteries but it's worth it. The packing is excellent too - items actually screwed into the pack rather than tied. A lot of thought has gone into every aspect. Excellent value for money.

Summary: My boys 6 and 10 LOVE it! 2008-06-04
Comment: After over 5 months of rigorous play with two of these Spy Video cars, my boys' cars are still going strong. I am pleasantly surprised by this. In addition to the boys, ages 6 and 10, we have a 4-year-old daughter who has gotten to play with these also. The cars have been crashed into each other, kids, the dog, and walls hundreds of times, but there has been no damage to the cars. Even having the cars and headsets strewn around in the playroom and boys' bedroom hasn't broken them. Like I said, I'm surprised.
My kids have never complained about the quality of the video or audio. They think it's great. The cars have never gotten boring for my guys. The only down side I can think of is that, after the first week, I never noticed the cars "watching" us. I'm not sure if my kids have seen or heard things that maybe they shouldn't have. :-)
