Summary: Gold's Gym Cardio Workout 2010-03-17
Comment: As you read other reviews many will say this is mainly a boxing workout game and they are correct. If you like boxing this is the game for you if you don't like boxing you will hate this game. They should have titled it "Gold's Gym Cardio Boxing Workout". I do like this game because the work out is effective and my favorite Wii Fit workout is boxing. Carefull with your ankles and knees though.

Summary: Great Workout Game 2010-03-15
Comment: I just bought this game a couple of days ago and it is truly a workout. I used it for the first time on Saturday and I am still feeling it. Not only is it a good workout but it is fun at the same time. I definitely recommend this one!!!!!

Summary: New to Wii 2010-03-15
Comment: When I got my Wii for Christmas I started scoping out exercise games. I had heard The Biggest Loser game was great, but then I saw the cover of the 2009 Jillian Michaels Fitness Ultimatum game, and it looked so fun (tire drills, kayaking) that I decided to try that instead. When I went to buy the game I couldn't find it anywhere! The only thing that was available was the 2010 version, which according to the pictures on the package didn't seem to have any of the same features. I was so dissapointed.

After hemming and hawing I decided to buy the Gold's Gym game. I was a little dissapointed off the bat because it seemed to be ONLY boxing, when the title had led me to believe there would be more variety (especially with being teased by the promises of 2009 JMFU.) After starting the actual workouts however, I was wiped and I was hooked! It was challenging both mentally and physically. I really had to stay on point to be proficient.

Love:
-the unlocking features from trainers to clothes to clothes for the trainers, to new excercises. Keeps the game interesting and provides motivation.

-that the trainer knows the last time I worked out and challenges me to do more or less

-the calendar that shows how frequently I have worked and my stats (Calories burned, time worked) on those days. Easy to access and great motivational tool.

-the prepared workouts. Gives variety and doesn't force me to rely on my own willpower or knowledge to get a good workout. Also gives you the choice of Light, Regular, or Hardcore depending on how hard you feel like working.

-the segments of time. SUPER easy to do before work or in between errands. Not the mentai committment of the treadmill or an exercise video. I never feel like I am going to be bogged down for the next 30 min to and hour.

Could do better:
Would be great if it periodically asked you to weigh in and record milestones with your weight. You can change your stats as often as you want, but there's no, "Atta girl," (I like [& need] that.)

Accuracy on the ducking and weaving games seems difficult to master. As a weight loss goal I promised myself a new Wii remote when I reached a certain milestone. This made the game even more user friendly because I didn't have to worry about the nunchuk cord hitting me in face or getting tangled. Plus, the new remote has the extra motion sensor and that seemed to help with some of the accuracy issues. Practice has also helped, still not easy.

Not LOVIN' the clothes or the hair dos. But this is so minor I feel silly even writing about that really.

Overall, I look forward to this every day like I have NEVER looked forward to exercising before. I am sore in different parts of my body on different days depending on that day's workout.

It makes me feel savvy and has given me self-confidence. I have never felt athletic and I love proving otherwise to myself with this game.

I am so happy that I bought this game and none of the other JM's games I so longed for initially.

Summary: great workout tool! 2010-03-11
Comment: This may not be as hard a workout as you would get going to the gym and getting screamed at by a real boxing fitness instructor...but it's pretty darn good! I have other exercise videos and they're good, if you stick with them...but this one makes me actually want to keep going and do other games. You can also change the music, which I think is AWESOME considering I usually do the Wii Fit, which has the same dinky music over and over. This game may not replace a gym membership, but it's a great tool to have for rainy days or when you're just too lazy to get in your car ;)

Summary: Really a good workout game 2010-03-09
Comment: There were so many positive reviews for this game that I went around looking for it. It was all sold out in my hometown and the only place available was in US. I had to get a friend to buy it for me. I am glad I got it. One of the best workout game out there. It is easy, fun and all ages can workout to. It makes me workout a sweat everytime. Really a fun way to exercise. Even my other half who hardly want to exercise has started to workout with this game almost everyday. I have the other boxing game, Punch Out, which although is fun but I hardly use it.
I love the game so much that I just bought another copy of Gold Gym Cardio when Amazon makes it available to be delivered here.
