Summary: Great for transferring PS1 and PS2 saves! 2008-11-16
Comment: I purchased this at Target but I wanted to write a review and mention how easy this memory card adapter was in transferring my old saves. I have the PS3 80GB that has backward compatibility with PS1 and PS2 games so I wanted to condense it all into one system. The memory card adapter is easy to use and creating an internal memory card is easy. I had no problems, just plug in with your USB charger for your controller and you're set!

Summary: Did what I needed it for 2008-10-13
Comment: I transferred all of my PS2 games to PS3 virtual cards. No problems with the actual transfer, but I did have a 64MB card that it would not recognize. I had to reconnect my PS2, move the saves from the 64MB to an 8MB, and then move them to the PS3. Took a few times to get them moved.
May just be a one time use item, but is the only choice if you want your PS2 games. I know other people with a PS2, so I may be able to share some of the cost.

Summary: Only used it once 2008-09-24
Comment: It works fine and does what it is supposed to do, but I've only used it once. Find a friend that has it and borrow it.

Summary: works very well 2008-09-08
Comment: If you plan on using your PS3 to play PS1 and/or PS2 games, you definitely should get this to transfer your old saves. You just connect it to the system with a usb cable, and copy the saves. It does not delete the saves from the old memory card, it only copies them. Very easy, works very well. It can also be used to copy saves back the other way, in case you want to use your new save data in your PS1/PS2.
