Summary: Good keyboard but over time letters wear off 2008-10-29
Comment: My husband is a "hunt and peck" typer. One of our computer desks is in our bedroom. My husband always had to have a light on when I was trying to sleep when he was on the computer working, so he could see what he was typing. I bought him this Saitek keyboard for Christmas last year (2007). Our entire family, including children love this keyboard and it is used several hours a day. The only issue I have is, after ten months the paint is wearing off of the frequently used keys. It's not a problem for me, but the "hunt and peck" typers I live with will eventually have a problem. It's still a good keyboard and I may try to put permanent marker letters on the keys eventually and see how that works. Overall a good product. Even if I have to purchase another one eventually, the light is off when my hubby is typing. I'm happy!

Summary: good keyboard,but----- 2008-10-28
Comment: I bought this keyboard because I am a lousy typist.Cannot touch type which would be the solution to my problem. It is good looking and has a nice touch. My problem with it is the size of the letters on the keys.Too small, even with the illuminated background.I needed to use my desk lamp anyway. So I sent it back. Amazon was fast with a full refund. This might be just the thing for some, but not for me.Maybe new glasses and typing lessons!

Summary: Love it! 2008-10-07
Comment: People ask me why I'm sitting in the dark or call me a vampire now because I'm always dimming the lights in the room to better see my awesome keyboard!

Summary: Great Product, Great Price 2008-09-30
Comment: One of my coworkers had purchased this cool keyboard, with backlighting and quiet keys, for herself and another worker. This price for the exact product was considerably less than what she paid.

Summary: Variable quality from unit to unit 2008-09-20
Comment: I purchased this as we keep the family computer in the same room where we watch movies, and none of us particularly like the room likes bright. That can be a challenge when someone is trying to work on the computer, so we decided to buy a lighted keyboard. Saitek came recommended by several friends, and we also have kids who play games, so the thought of a gamer keyboard for durability was attractive. It's held up well to food, though something sticky is in the left shift key that defies cleaning. The lighting has been very weak, even on the brightest setting. It's effectively not a lighted keyboard. But for some reason, about a year later, I bought another. The second one works great, and both light brightness settings work well. My rating of "4" is based on the one that works. I probably should have returned the other, but as you with kids know, sometimes it's just too busy to get everything done. The second purchase was at $33.99 (Amazon), about $10 under where it is today on Amazon.
