Summary: Great product 2008-10-22
Comment: I've been using this device for 8 months with no problems at all within RB, RB2, and the GH:Aerosmith demo. I've had no issues with using tilt to deploy starpower, and I much prefer the PS2 wireless guitars over the Fender provided with the RB games. Just a note to you TAC Adapter RB'ers who may have noticed some guitar sound distortion when starpower is active... sometimes RB thinks a Fender Strat effects switch has been activated. With the new update to RB and the native ability of RB2 to recognize GH controllers, just put the TAC Adapter in GH mode and the problem goes away because RB and RB2 don't look for an effects toggle signal from a GH guitar.

Summary: Works well with official GH wireless "Kramer" PS2 controller 2008-10-16
Comment: I bought this so I could use my wireless PS2 "Kramer" GH controller on the PS3. I already have too many PS2 guitars, but thanks to this adapter I don't need to buy any more in order to play Guitar Hero and Rock Band games on the PS3.
I've used it with PS3 edition of GH:Aerosmith (which is basically the same engine/code as GH3 underneath) and it worked well with no problems. Sometimes you need to keep the guitar tilted just a little longer to activate Star Power than you would when using the same guitar with the same game on a PS2, but it is not a real problem.
Pushing the "select" and "start" buttons at the same time is supposed to simulate pushing the PS3 button on a PS3 controller but only with "some" guitars. This feature works fine with the official/Red Octane "Kramer" wireless PS2 GH controller, allowing you to remotely change controller ID, quit the game, shut down the PS3, etc. Excellent.

Comment: This product works great for using a PS2 guitar on the PS3 while playing Rock Band for PS3. It registers as a guitar and the hammer-ons work well. The overdrive takes a little longer to activate when you tilt the guitar, as noted in the included instructions. You CAN be holding buttons while you activate the star power, contrary to what I've seen in some reviews.

Summary: Great if you don't own a Guitar Hero 3 PS3 controller for Rock Band... 2008-09-23
Comment: Just recently, within the last two weeks, Harmonix finally released a real patch for Rock Band on PS3 so you can use the Guitar Hero 3 PS3 guitar on Rock Band, which eliminated my need for this device. I still have my GH2 guitar with this as a backup / bass guitar, but I just figured I'd tell everyone this information.
This device still works as advertised, except it's really difficult to get star power to work unless you aren't pressing any buttons on it at the time you tilt.

Summary: Doesn't Work with Mad Catz 2 Driving Wheel 2008-09-10
Comment: I don't want to knock the product as I don't think it was made to be used with driving wheels. That being said, it doesn't work with th eMAd Catz 2 dirving wheel with the PS2, PC, and Xbox connectors. At least it doesn't work on PS2 to PS3. I can program the wheel so that the gas and brakes work but I can't get the wheel to turn the cars at all.
