Summary: Excellent value for three decent games 2008-08-19
Comment: If you are a fan of real-time strategy games, then this bundle is definitely worth considering. The platinum pack contains three different real-time strategy games set in the Warhammer 40K sci-fi universe: Dawn of War, Winter Assault, and Dark Crusade. Dawn of War and Winter Assault are both plot-driven RTS games with an interesting storyline and challenging obstacles; Dark Crusade, however, is a map-control game similar to Risk. I found all three to be enjoyable, and they helped to satisfy my cravings for a new RTS game on the PC.
Individually, the games in this bundle have a number of drawbacks. DoW and WA are both very short and have limited replayability (once you know the plot twists, the scenarios just aren't as enjoyable). The battles in Dark Crusade don't follow much of a plotline, but the map-control aspect of it has more replayability. Together in one bundle, the games make up for each-other's individual flaws and provide something for all RTS interests: plotline scenarios (DoW & WA), replayability (DC), and race choices (DoW and WA [to a limited extent]).
Multiplayer: There is both internet and LAN play with this bundle. Most of this is in Dark Crusade, but the keys from the other two games unlock races for multiplayer in DC. The internet play in DC is based on Gamespy, and was very buggy when I attempted it (to the point where I stopped trying). Others have apparently had better luck, however.
Note: The final expansion/game for Dawn of War I is Soulstorm. It was released in March of 2008, and is not included in this bundle.

Summary: Great game for fans of Warhammer 40K 2008-08-02
Comment: First, I have to say that I am a long time Warhammer 40K fan. I have played the table top game and collect the army pieces. So, when I found out this was coming out I got excited.
I was not disappointed. The missions are fun and can be challenging. Sometimes I would fly through a mission, other times I would have to play over an hour to finish one. Several times I lost a mission and had to start over. I have not tried the online multiplayer yet.
My only complaint is the maps are not interactive. Meaning you can't blow up buildings, bridges, or anything else that has not been built by your opponent.
Besides that, it's a great game to play. To top it off, it's not expensive at $30. Really worth it.

Summary: Best RTS I've Played 2008-07-16
Comment: Excellent game pack and you can't beat the price. The DVD includes all three games which gives you tons and tons of maps and races to play.

Summary: Short Games but as a Collection, Decent. 2008-05-17
Comment: This is a pretty simplistic game by the standards of a StarCraft or WarCraft, or Supreme Commander, but that doesn't make it bad. It's quite a fun game. In an era of huge video card requirements and maps that are so big you'll lose track of your units, I appreciated the approach.
The only cons I can give it are weak AI and the lame practice of only putting 1 race campaign in the first one and leaving all the others to skirmish. Come on, that's just lazy. They made a bit more effort in the single player on the expansion, but still really short change you on single player levels. I haven't tried the 3rd game yet, but assuming it's not like 5 levels long, when taken as a package for the price, this package seems it's a pretty decent, though not terribly long, game.

Summary: DOW:Plat Pack 2008-05-12
Comment: Def a great gaming series, although i'm kinda pissed that DoW 2 hasn't yet been released, but hey who can complain the three of these games are absolutely phenominal. Combining some of the best storyline, and RTS to make one hell of a game.
