Other features include a 2.0-megapixel camera/camcorder, Bluetooth for handsfree devices and stereo music streaming, MicroSD memory expansion, and up to 4.3 hours of talk time.

Verizon Service Options

Channel selection includes CBS Mobile, NBC News, Comedy Central, ESPN, Fox News, MTV, and Nickelodeon.

The V Cast Music service enables you to download songs instantly to your phone, or purchase music through your PC and transfer the files to your phone. If purchased from your phone, you'll receive two copies of the song: a Windows Media Audio Pro Plus format at 64Kbps stereo is sent to your phone, and a Windows Media Audio 9 format at 160Kbps stereo is sent to your account in the V CAST Music online store for downloading to your PC. In addition to the V Cast Music service, this phone is also compatible with Verizon's V CAST Music with Rhapsody, which enables you to access this exclusive digital music service for RealNetworks and for MTV Networks. V CAST Music with Rhapsody delivers unlimited monthly access to music on up to three Rhapsody-compatible mobile phones and players and online on multiple PCs and Web browsers. In addition, customers who purchase music over-the-air are able to download the master copy of the songs or albums to their PCs free of digital rights management (DRM) software that restricts how and where music can be played.

The V Cast Video service enables you to stream or download video clips to your phone from a variety of news, entertainment, sports, and weather channels, including CNN, ABC News, E!, CBS Sports, The Weather Channel, and VH1.

Verizon's Mobile eMail gives you access to your Windows Live Hotmail, Yahoo Mail and AOL accounts so you can read, write, and reply. Access your address book, receive e-mail alerts and more, right on your Verizon Wireless phone. Getting on the Internet is easy using Verizon's Mobile Web 2.0 package, which allows you to read and send e-mails, exchange instant messages and view your favorite web content on your phone. Verizon's Media Center wireless download service is also fully compatible with this phone. This pay-per-download service features application downloads, games and productivity tools. You can also personalize your handset with ringtone downloads using the Media Center service.

With this GPS-enabled phone, you'll be able to access Verizon's VZ Navigator service (additional charges applicable) for voice-prompted turn-by-turn directions, heads-up alerts, local search of nearly 14 million points of interest in the US (such as landmarks, restaurants and ATMs), and detailed color maps.

With BroadbandAccess Connect (subscription required), you can use your smartphone as a modem for your notebook when you connect the two using a USB cable--or open a Bluetooth connection--enabling you to access the Internet or your company intranet. The tethered modem capability is ideal when you're traveling and need to use your notebook to check email, access corporate networks, or download large files like presentations and reports. And with BroadbandAccess Connect, you won't have to buy an extra PC Card or other devices.

With Visual Voice Mail, you can delete, reply and forward voice mail messages without having to listen to prior messages or voice instructions. Visual Voice Mail is the ideal tool for the busy mobile professional who may need to prioritize which messages he or she listens to first.

The Krave also features a 2-megapixel camera, Bluetooth stereo music streaming, and MicroSD memory expansion to 8 GB.
Phone Features
The Motorola Krave ZN4 features two layers of touch--on the interactive clear flip outside and the full touch-screen inside--providing you with one-touch access to your favorite features and services without even opening up the see-through flip cover. With the flip open, you can access the full range of menu options. Live TV can be enjoyed with the flip open or closed in stunning landscape mode on the large, vibrant color display.

The durable flip helps protect the touchscreen underneath, and a prominent side key locks access to the external buttons, preventing accidental use when the phone is in your purse or pocket. You can also make voice dial calls without opening the cover, thanks to the phone's voice-activated dialing feature and dedicated voice recognition key--just speak the name or number you want to call. The phone also features a virtual landscape QWERTY keypad, haptic technology for reassuring sensory feedback when you press a key, conveniently-sized buttons, and direct access to personal email accounts with Verizon's Mobile Email.

The 2.8-inch touchscreen has a 65K color depth and a 240 x 400-pixel resolution, and it modifies its display to 240 x 320 pixels when the flip is closed. The phone has an internal 130 MB memory, which can be expanded via optional MicroSD/MicroSDHC memory cards up to 8 GB in size. The phonebook can store up to 1000 contact entries with fields for up to five numbers and two email addresses per entry. It supports caller groups as well as photo/ringer ID.

Handsfree communication is easy thanks to the integrated speakerphone. This phone also provides Bluetooth wireless connectivity (version 2.0), and includes profiles for communication headset, handsfree car kits, and file transfer. With the A2DP Bluetooth profile, you can stream your music to a pair of compatible Bluetooth stereo headphones. You can connect your laptop (either via Bluetooth or wired USB) and enjoy dial-up networking--surf the Internet, send email, and access files from a server.

The dedicated camera key on Motorola Krave provides quick access to a touch-controlled 2.0 megapixel camera. The accelerometer detects the movement when the phone rotates and changes the display, making it easy to catch landscape and portrait shots, as well as capture and view video. The digital audio player is compatible with MP3, WMA and unprotected AAC/AAC+ formats, and it enables you to create and manage playlists right on the phone.

Stay in touch with friends while you're on the go using SMS text messaging. When used in combination with the phone's built-in still camera, MMS opens up a whole new world of messaging fun. The phone also comes stock with a built-in web browser for downloads and mobile web browsing. Motorola's iTap predictive text entry technology makes it easier for entering text while composing email and text messages.

Summary: The Phone That Should Have Stayed In Product Testing 2010-02-01
Comment: I bought this phone over the summer and at first look I loved it with the touch capabilities, but once you actually try to use it, then the problems occur.
Dislikes
1.) I'm an avid texter. THIS IS NOT THE PHONE FOR ME. When you hold it sideways to text...O what do you know the flip screen is in your way. Any button around the edges are pretty much not going to work. The touch screen capability of this phone is piss poor. Its extremely slow to begin with.
2.)This phone just doesn't like to work in the cold! I live in PA and its cold here most of the year and for some reason the touch screen starts pressing random buttons on the screen that aren't even near the one u wanted.
3.) Data storing for texting really pisses me off. You can't have more than 80 and every time u get a message after 80 it quick pops up a message that says to delete some. I put a 1 gig card in the phone and it doesn't seem to save to that and add extra space like it did my razor.
4.)Not good for music. I listen in the car on my radio and it just can't find the songs u want while driving.
Likes
1.)Camera is ok I did like the scrolling features (they did something right here)
2.)The TV is cool. I never payed just used free flow.

Considering how big the phone is you would think it could do a lot more....but it can't

DON'T BUY THIS PHONE. ESPECIALLY IF YOU LIVE IN COLD WEATHER!!!!

*I went back to my 6yr old razor :)

Summary: Unbelievable 2010-01-08
Comment: I agree with some of the reviews. This phone is nothing but junk. I was excited at first because it was a touch screen, tv, music and etc. But having this phone less than a month the phone has been exchange out four times with verizon. The screen was always freezing up. Texting was horrible. Always touching the wrong letters. It didn't recognize when texting. The phone would shut off by itself and then I would have to restart the phone up. Then it got to the point I was not able to hear anything on the phone. The phone wouldn't ring, stop connecting to my bluetooth, people would call and I couldn't hear them but they could hear me. I would not recommend this phone to anyone. Skip this phone. Motorola still needs to work on this.

Summary: Aweful Phone 2009-12-20
Comment: Texting is horrible. You can never push the right buttons. People seem to have trouble hearing me. Not to mention, I put my phone to my ear after having it about a year and it snapped right in two. (No it wasn't dropped or anything) It was bazaar. I woundn't get this phone again if someone paid me. Dont waste your money.

Summary: Not worth it! 2009-11-09
Comment: I had a horrible experience with this phone. First of all, the touch screen's quality is really bad when compared to a blackberry or an ipod. Also, the plastic ear piece section is very delicate and no matter what you do it will end up with bad scratches and eventually falling off. I would not recommend this phone to anyone!

Summary: Looks good, but lacking in execution 2009-10-05
Comment: I'm going to pony up the extra money and get another phone, even though I've got a year and a half to go until eligible for an upgrade. That's how bad this phone is. Half the time you might as well close your eyes and stab at the screen with your fingers, because the touch screen tends to ignore where your finger actually goes. After using the touch system on my iPod touch, I thought this would be the way to go, but obviously Motorola hasn't worked out the implementation of touch like Apple has. It's too bad, because the form factor is very good, and everything else seems to work pretty well on the phone. I find myself yelling at the phone at least once per day.
